I have long been attracted to painting flowers. Their wide range of colours and shapes provide endless inspiration, and in arranging them, any number of happy emotions can be experienced.
Impressionism allows for freedom of expression in these paintings. Flowers are quite forgiving to portray. They can be expressed quite simply by presenting the idea of the flower, rather than an exact replica. Our beautiful minds fill in detail where none exists, making the experience of each viewer unique.
